Acts of Kindness: Songs for Hope

Amanda Swickle/ Jericho High School Creator of Songs For Hope

Students in the Jericho community have been sharing their talents and their passion for music to help spread love to senior citizen community centers across Long Island. Songs for Hope, a virtual celebration of music, was created when the Covid-19 pandemic began, with the purpose of bringing meaningful entertainment to isolated seniors during these tough times. Their mission is to bring sunshine, hope and love to seniors in nursing homes and assisted facilities. “They have been through so much hardship and we hope with some music we can lift their spirits and brighten their days” said Amanda Swickle.

Songs for Hope is partnering with Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center to distribute these virtual musical concerts on a large scale. Help spread the word to reach more seniors citizens and bring them joy. To receive a shareable copy of the concert or to be a part of future concerts please reach out to Amanda Swickle at Letsspreadlovelsl@gmail.com
