Free lecture: Hip & knee replacements


NYU Winthrop Hospital will offer a free program open to the public, “Hip & Knee Replacements: The Latest Advances,” on Tuesday, October 16, at 7 PM.   The program will be held at the Hospital’s Research & Academic Center, located at 101 Mineola Boulevard, at the corner of Second Street in Mineola.

Omid S. Barzideh, MD, Director, Orthopaedic Fragility Fracture Service and Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at NYU Winthrop Hospital, will discuss symptoms, the evaluation process for joint replacement surgery, and the surgical experience.  Dr. Barzideh will also discuss the different types of total hip and knee replacements, as well as cutting-edge technologies.  Pain management ad postoperative/rehabilitation advances will also be discussed.  A question and answer period will follow.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:45 PM to register.  Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required.
